I just had a chance to see this movie "The House Bunny" lately on HBO. It reminds me of plenty of movies which has a similar plot. Kids bullying and kids trying to be popular.I remember it well once when I wanted to be a popular kid. Because I wore glasses since I was, around, 8 so I didn't look cool back in those days. Everyone called me 'fatty glassy' or '4 eyes', being a chubby girl wearing glasses in school isn't a cool thing at all no matter how many decade has passed. It can also surprise you how cruel some kids can be when they tease you, bully you and everything they find it amused to do to you and can humiliate you at the same time. But lucky me, I wasn't just a 4 eyes girl but also a tallest girl in classes. Taller than some boys so sometime when they bullied me, I kicked or punched them back. And one day those bullying started to fade away. But the hunger to be popular was still there.
Now that I grow up, I no longer hunger for the popularity and also found it silly. We all were born to be stand out, not to blend in. I've also learn that those who bully could be because they are jealous and they feel insecure. I was a 4 eyes and a chubby chick but I had a good grade in classes and most of teachers loved me, so I just think that they were jealous at me. I don't need to be popular to prove that I am worth something. I am worth everything, as a human being, as a friend, as a lover, as your acquaintance and as somebody.
Let them bully you but fight them back and show them that you are better than them. Don't be sad and don't be upset, we are born unique so show them to the world. Let them jealous at you. Now, stand up and let kick some ass!!
