I've seen the movie "Inception" a while ago but I have to admit that I still can't get it out of my thought. The combination of an incredible script, stunning effect and design, and also great acting blown my mind. It seems Leo is pretty good with these kind of dramatic character and it suites him well.
'Inception' is, in the movie, to plant the idea into someone’s mind but in reality 'Inception' is, let put it this way, marketing strategy or brain-washing. 'Inception' requites when a sudden decision needs to be made but marketing demands such a period of time. Why whitening product and plastic surgery are so popular? Because the marketing keep reminding and repeating that you will look like your idol; bright white skin and pretty. I have no clue when they starts to plant the idea of being white is pretty? But girls, naturally Thais isn't white nor dark and no matter what you've done, you won't get any lighter unless you try something like Michael Jackson did (sorry Jacko). I'm so sure that every girls love to be pretty; big eyes contact lens, make-up, hair style and etc. that you have to do to make yourself look good. That you have to try and buy all the product they promise to make you look amazingly white or make you look pretty like your idol. It all purely comes down to 'Demand' & 'Supply'='Marketing' & 'Money'. The idea's plant, the damage's done and now we believe what they've told.
Another example, Thais parent and elderly (surely not just only Thais) like to teach and tell their children do not ,such as, sing while you eat or else you will have an old husband. The truth is singing while you eat might cause choking but instead of teaching the fact, they plant some other idea which some of us still believe. There's still more example such as 'gecko will eat your liver.','police will catch you.','ghost will haunt you.', etc. That's the idea and that's why some people fear of something with no reason. My parent's never told me such an idea so I believe in what I've seen, learn, touch and experience.
Now you understand how and why. You can try by repeating the same words or sentence to your target. They might really believe what you say, you just never know but that's all it is. That's how it's done...'Inception' - 'Marketing' - 'Brain washing'...
